Description
Product Description:
The Yokogawa AIP578 is a high-performance analog input module designed for use within the Yokogawa CENTUM VP and CENTUM CS 3000 Distributed Control Systems (DCS). This module is part of the Field Input/Output (FIO) family and is specifically engineered for isolated current input applications. The AIP578 is ideal for environments where field devices operate with different ground potentials or when high signal integrity is crucial to avoid ground loops. The module offers channel-to-channel isolation, distinguishing it from conventional modules that use a common ground.
This module is built for accuracy and reliability, providing 8 input channels with a range of 4 to 20 mA DC. Its 250 Ω internal shunt ensures precise current measurements, while ±0.1% accuracy guarantees high performance across applications. The AIP578 is highly resistant to electrical interference with a 500 V AC isolation voltage between channels and a 1500 V AC isolation between the system and the field devices.
The data refresh cycle of 10 ms ensures real-time processing, making it suitable for fast and demanding control systems. Additionally, the module's maximum current consumption is 450 mA when powered from a 5 V DC backplane.
