Description
Product Overview
The AO 3481S2 Analog Output Module from Triconex delivers fault-tolerant analog control for safety-critical environments. Built for Tricon Systems, this module features triple-redundant channels that independently process and validate output signals.
Each channel in the AO 3481S2 stores values in separate tables and communicates through the TriBus network. The module applies mid-value selection logic in TMR mode and averaging in duplex setups to ensure reliable analog output.
Its self-calibration system adjusts ADC gain and bias against reference voltages, maintaining ±0.1% accuracy. Engineers rely on the AO 3481S2 for precise control of reactor temperatures, pipeline pressures, and other sensitive parameters.
The module supports multiple signal types including 4–20mA loops, thermocouples (J/K/T/E), and 3-wire RTDs. It also handles voltage ranges from -5VDC to +10VDC, ensuring compatibility with legacy and modern transducers.
