Description
Overview
The 140DDI36400 Digital Input Module from Schneider Electric delivers high-density signal acquisition for Modicon Quantum PLC systems. It supports 96 discrete input channels operating at 19.2–30V DC under positive logic with a sinking configuration. This module measures 6.5×23.5×25cm and weighs 0.4kg, making it suitable for compact control panel installations. The 140DDI36400 includes 6700-ohm input resistance per channel, enabling fast switching times of ≤2 ms (OFF to ON) and ≤3 ms (ON to OFF). Schneider Electric designed the 140DDI36400 to withstand continuous input voltages up to 30V and transient spikes up to 50V. It features 500 Vrms isolation between input groups, enhancing safety and reliability in electrically noisy environments. The module draws 270 mA from the bus and generates only 1.35W base heat, increasing by 0.13W per active input. LED indicators include 96 green LEDs for input status, one red LED for fault indication, and one green LED for bus communication.
