    ABB AC 800M Redundant Control Architecture

    The PM891K02 integrates CPU redundancy functions across processor units, CEX-Bus communication paths, communication interfaces, and S800 I/O connections. The unit contains the CPU board, power supply section, and termination components in a single enclosure.

    The processor includes a microprocessor, RAM memory, real-time clock, LED indicators, INIT push button, and Secure Digital interface. Furthermore, the design removes the requirement for an internal backup battery while maintaining controller identity through a unique Ethernet address.

In addition, the BC810 CEX-Bus Interconnection Unit can divide communication segments to increase system availability.
