    Description

    Product Description

The IC200MDD842 is a high-density mixed discrete I/O module developed for GE Fanuc VersaMax control platforms. It integrates both input and output channels within a single housing, making it suitable for applications where panel space and wiring efficiency are critical.

This module provides 16 digital input points and 16 digital output points operating at 24 VDC. It supports flexible input logic configurations, including both sourcing (positive logic) and sinking (negative logic), with negative logic functionality available in hardware revision B (IC200MDD842B) or later.

Designed with system reliability in mind, the output section incorporates electronic short-circuit protection, overcurrent monitoring, and suppression diodes for inductive loads. Integrated diagnostics and per-channel LED indicators enable fast fault identification and simplified commissioning.

    Key Features

    • Combined 32-point I/O design with 16 inputs and 16 outputs

    • Supports both positive and negative input logic (revision-dependent)

    • 24 VDC output channels rated at 0.5 A per point

    • Built-in electronic protection against short circuits and overload conditions

    • Integrated flyback diodes for inductive load protection

    • Individual LED indicators for each I/O channel

    • Fast switching performance suitable for time-critical control tasks

    • Compact form factor optimized for VersaMax distributed I/O systems

    • No isolation between channels, allowing cost-effective high-density integration

    FAQ

Q: Can this module support both sourcing and sinking inputs simultaneously?
A: The module supports both logic types, but configuration depends on wiring and hardware revision. Negative logic requires revision B or later.

Q: Are outputs protected against inductive loads such as solenoids?
A: Yes, built-in free-wheeling diodes suppress voltage spikes from inductive loads.

    Q: Is channel-to-channel isolation available?
A: No, this module does not provide isolation between individual channels.
