Functional Description
The IC698CPE020 CPU integrates a 700 MHz Pentium III microprocessor, delivering strong real-time control performance. Engineers equipped the module with 10 MB of user memory and 10 MB of non-volatile flash memory. It supports up to 32K bits for discrete I/O and 32K words for analog input and output data. Users can load up to 512 program blocks, each with a maximum size of 128 KB.
Dual Ethernet ports provide 10/100 Mbps speeds, supporting EGD, Modbus/TCP, TCP/IP, and SRTP protocols. Three isolated serial ports enable RS232 and RS485 communication with Modbus RTU, SNP, and serial I/O devices. The VME64 architecture ensures high-speed throughput and compatibility with embedded technologies. Built-in support for floating-point math and Boolean functions allows programming in Ladder Diagram, Function Block Diagram, Structured Text, and C.
The IC698CPE020 CPU supports up to 16 concurrent Web server and FTP connections, integrates time synchronization, and is configured using Proficy Machine Edition Logic Developer PLC software version 4.0 or later.
Applications and Compatibility
The IC698CPE020 Rx7i PACSystem CPU Module integrates seamlessly with GE Fanuc automation platforms. Industrial operators use this module for process control, machine automation, and real-time diagnostics. Its compact dimensions, dual Ethernet ports, and robust memory capacity make it suitable for energy, manufacturing, and heavy-duty industrial environments.
