Product Description
The Bently Nevada 3500/22M 146031-01 Ethernet I/O Module is the rear-mounted communication interface used in conjunction with the 3500/22M Transient Data Interface (TDI). Installed behind Slot 1 of the rack, it forms the physical network bridge that enables external communication between the 3500 system and plant-level monitoring platforms.
This module is responsible for all Ethernet-based data exchange functions, including System 1 connectivity, waveform transfer, and rack-level configuration management. It also provides the hardware interface for system health signaling through the OK relay output.
The unit operates outside the protection loop, ensuring that machinery protection remains active even if the communication interface is removed or fails.

FAQ
Q1: Is this module part of the protection system logic?
No. It operates strictly as a communication interface and does not affect protection functions.
Q2: Can the system run without this I/O module?
Yes, but external Ethernet communication and System 1 connectivity will be unavailable.
Q3: Is the module hot-swappable?
Yes. It is designed for replacement without powering down the rack.
