Product Description
The Bently Nevada 3500/22-01-01-05 164466-01 Transient Data Interface (TDI) is a rack-level communication and data acquisition module designed for the 3500 Machinery Protection System. It consolidates communication processing, configuration control, and high-speed vibration data handling into a single interface between monitoring hardware and System 1 software.
This configuration is equipped with hazardous-area certification (ATEX / IECEx), making it suitable for installations in classified environments such as offshore platforms, refineries, and petrochemical processing units.
The module is not part of the protection trip logic. System protection functions remain active even if the TDI is removed or fails.

FAQ
Q1: Does this module affect machine protection if it fails?
No. The TDI operates outside the protection path and does not influence trip functions.
Q2: What is the purpose of the “05” option code?
It designates ATEX/IECEx certification for hazardous-area installation.
Q3: Can it capture transient events during machine startup?
Yes. It is designed specifically for high-speed waveform capture during operational transitions.
