Description
Overview
The 3500/15-05-05-05 is a high-voltage DC power supply assembly developed for Bently Nevada 3500 Series machinery protection racks. The module receives 88 to 140 Vdc input through the associated 106M1079-01 and 106M1081-01 Power Input Modules (PIMs), then converts the incoming supply into regulated internal DC outputs for all installed rack modules.
This power supply occupies the dedicated left-side power compartment of the 3500 rack. Systems may operate with either a single supply or a dual redundant configuration. In redundant operation, one unit functions as the active source while the second remains in standby for automatic failover.
The corresponding PIMs mount directly behind the supply on the rack backplane and provide high-voltage input termination, electrical isolation, surge suppression, and fuse protection for critical monitoring environments.

FAQ
What is the purpose of the 106M1079-01 and 106M1081-01 PIMs?
These PIMs provide DC input connection, surge suppression, fuse protection, and electrical isolation between the external supply and the rack power system.
Can the module support redundant power operation?
Yes. Two power supplies can be installed in the same rack for automatic failover redundancy.
Is the module hot-swappable?
The power supply can be replaced while the rack remains operational if a second redundant supply is installed.
What type of input power does the module require?
The unit operates from an 88–140 Vdc high-voltage DC input with a nominal operating level of 125 Vdc.
