Installation Guidelines
- Ensure the control system is powered down before installing or removing any I/O modules or terminal blocks.
- Verify that the terminal block is securely seated in the ET 200B interface to prevent intermittent signal loss.
- Route field wiring away from high-voltage power cables to minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI).
- Ensure proper grounding of the cabinet and mounting rail to maintain signal integrity.
- Handle with care to avoid damage to the connector pins during the mating process.
FAQ
Is this terminal block active or passive?
The 6ES5700-2BD11 is a passive component; it serves as a physical interconnection point for field wiring and does not require an external power supply or internal logic processing.
Can this be used with systems other than the ET 200B?
This terminal block is specifically engineered for the ET 200B distributed I/O system. It is not intended for use with other I/O families unless explicitly stated in the Siemens technical documentation for those specific systems.
