وصف
Description
The Honeywell CC-KFSGR5 is a fiber optic extender cable engineered for use with Series C I/O modules and MTL fiber optic extender interfaces within Experion PKS distributed control systems. It facilitates stable, long-distance optical communication between control components, effectively eliminating electromagnetic interference (EMI) common in industrial environments.
This cable is designed for high-noise applications, including oil refineries, power plants, and large-scale process automation systems where signal integrity is essential. By utilizing optical transmission, the CC-KFSGR5 ensures deterministic data exchange and mitigates the risk of communication faults. Its design simplifies cabinet integration while maintaining high system availability.
Features

Installation Guidelines
- Ensure the fiber optic connectors are clean and free of debris before insertion to prevent signal attenuation.
- Handle with care to avoid sharp bends or kinks in the fiber optic cable, which can damage the internal glass core.
- Route the cable away from sharp metal edges or high-heat sources within the control cabinet.
- Verify that the connection points on the Series C modules and MTL extenders are properly aligned before engaging the connectors.
- Secure the cable using standard cable management practices to prevent mechanical strain on the connectors.
